Biography

Maryn Western is a Toronto-based multimedia artist and photographer who specializes in conceptual approaches, concert photography, and installation work. She is a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Image Arts program with a minor in Music and Culture studies. Focused on topics of intersectional feminism and identity, she creates unconventional works that function as immersive platforms for activism and advocacy of greater socio-political issues. She uses experimental media and alternative processes to convey her messages through the mediums themselves, creating a space for the audience to engage with complex ideas in innovative ways.
